Key activities

1. The Department is responsible for the overall execution of personnel and
establishment matters. These among others include:
a) Interpretation of policies, rules, regulations and procedures related to personnel
work.
b) Management of payroll in liaison with Accounts Section and ensuring prompt
payment of Staff Salaries.
c) Handling matters related to appointment and confirmation of staff.
d) In charge of deployment of staff
e) Ensuring implementation of Commission Minutes and recordings
f) Offering technical advise and assistance on Personnel issues.
g) Preparation of Submissions to relevant Commissions
h) Organization of training and training programmes in liaison with the training
committee.
i) Secretariat to the Disciplinary Committee
j) In charge of Leave Management
k) Maintaining an up todate staff list
l) In charge of staff records
m) Opening of staff files, i.e confidential, open and Appraisal files
