The Director General of International Atomic Energy Agency Amb. Yukiya Amano is very happy to have been part of the commissioning of the radiotherapy services in Uganda.

He also reaffirmed the interest of IAEA in using atomic energy in fighting and managing cancer and how the Agency is glad to be supporting African countries in this regard. He is happy with the strides that are being under taken by both the government of Uganda and the Institute in fighting and controlling cancer in Uganda.
